Good morning from HQ
Well what a hectic few months.
Firstly, congratulations to the 8 students passing their Lifeguard course and wish you all the luck for the future.
We will be putting on another course in the next few month so keep your eyes peeled.
As you will see from the website updates and changes, Lynn and I have been excelling ourselves beyond means to gain further qualifications to be able to give you a wider variety of courses available.
Lynn successfully completed a very emotional 2 day safeguarding instructors course where an excessive amount of tissues were required as the course touched some very sensitive areas after losing her fiancé last year. We are extremely proud of her.
I on the other hand, enjoyed a week learning to scuba dive in Wales (personal use ATM) and gaining qualifications in Catastrophic bleed and Advance airways.
As some of you may have seen, there is a new device floating around social media of a machine that does compressions on CPR (not inclusive of breaths) so patients can be transported whilst CPR is still being conducted. This is a new contraption. I can't give you much information or feedback about it, even though the First Aid instructor pages on facebook have been going wild with debates and passing of imformation. All we know so far is that they are not in circulation just yet and were not sure if they are going to be available to teach and put out to the public (emergency services only).
Overall, a very successful few weeks.
As the weather is changing (for the better) and we are not far off the summer holidays, more courses will be advertised for Mini Medic's as well as Safeguarding courses and 1-day Emergency First Aid courses ready for the school leavers going into employment, employees to have some well earned time off for sunny holidays and general public who fancy brushing up their skills for that just incase moment. All are welcome.
So for now, take care, be safe and hope to hear from you soon.
